The Garagiste Wine Festival

 

The Garagiste Wine Festival is coming back to it’s birthplace, Paso Robles, CA. On November 11th and 12th, 2016 join us for this 6th Annual event. Chanticleer Vineyard Bed & Breakfast is centrally located to events both events and currently has availability for these dates!

Wikipedia defines Garagistes as a group of winemakers in the Bordeaux region of France. Known for their production of “Vins de garage”, Garage wine. The Gargagiste Festival spotlights small case-lot wine makers crafting under 1,500 cases a year. This year’s festival features over 50 micro-production winemakers. They will be pouring over 200 wines.   Tickets are on sale now.

FRIDAY NIGHT HEAVEN: Rare & Reserve Wines w/ Gourmet Grilled Cheese – Friday, November 11, 2016 – 6:30-9:30 pm – $55  at The Carlton Hotel in neighboring Atascadero

SATURDAY FESTIVAL GRAND TASTING – Saturday, November 12, 2016:

Paso Fairgrounds, Ponderosa Pavilion 

GRAND TASTING: 2:00-5:00pm – $65

EARLY ACCESS TASTING: 1:00-5:00pm – $85

VIP ALL-DAY ACCESS: 11:00am-8:30pm – $135

A Peek Behind the Curtain of Big Wineries with Adam Lazarrea, winemaker who has made a million cases a year and a hundred cases a year shares his unique perspective on wine making at both ends of the spectrum.

Illegal Blends: Garagiste winemakers break Old World wine rules. This seminar will be a focused exploration of several “no-rules approach” blends, through tasting and interaction with their creators.

This Festival exemplifies the casual free spirit of Paso Robles. Promoting education and the promotion of innovative wine making ideas. Proceeds from the Festivals are donated to support the growth of the SLO Cal Poly Wine and Viticulture Department.
